Kaylee and Darren were married on a chilly but bright spring day in our banqueting hall witnessed by all their family and friends. They were then able to capture some stunning photo in the house, Kaylee even braved the chilly day in her beautiful bridal gown and ventured outside for a few photos.

Read their story and find out what inspired them:

Where did you get engaged and how long had you been together before hand?

“We got engaged of Christmas day 2011 after 5 and a half years together”

How many venues did you visit before you chose Warwick House as your wedding venue?

“Warwick House was our third venue.”

How did you feel when you first visited Warwick House, did you know straight away that you wanted to get married here?

“We loved the feeling we got from Warwick house from the moment we walked in, it was modern, inviting, and beautiful. What we liked most was that Warwick House was exclusive, and it felt more like one large home rather that a private venue . We booked our date that night.”

What was your first step of wedding planning? Venue search, dress shopping, choosing a date etc?

“We wanted to find our venue so we could set a date. Once that was done, we started to decide of our wedding party, their roles and our guests. Once we had an idea of that, this helped us decide what we needed to look for for the big day.”

How many months/years in advance did you book your special day?

“We allowed ourselves 14 months, which was perfect as we have fairly busy lifestyles”

What was the hardest thing about planning your wedding day?

“Trying to incorporate a budget. We knew planning a wedding would be expensive, but didn’t know how to distinguish what was reasonable against expensive. We just tried to look around for good deals on everything so we didn’t unnecessarily overspend.”

What were the highlights of your day?

“Everything going to plan! We loved every moment and would do it all again. I would say the evening was more relaxing and allowed us time to mingle with all of our family and friends.”

Do you have any advice for Bride and Grooms that are just starting their wedding plans?

“We created an excel spreadsheet and listed everything from jobs we needed to do, to how much we spent on something. We also added reminders for payment dates, appointments and much more. This was brilliant as we didn’t have to keep remembering where we were at.”
