There really is nothing better than a summer wedding outdoors is there? There is something so special about saying your vows in the great outdoors that it makes your big day one to remember. Here we take a look at four ideas for you to ensure your outdoor wedding a big success.
Ensure there is plenty of water and drinks on hand
Hopefully, you’ll be lucky enough to be getting married on a hot and sunny day. There really is nothing better enjoying your big day in the glorious sunshine! However, this sunshine can pose a few problems, one of these being hydration. Guests can sometimes be left sitting out in the heat for quite a period of time before and during the ceremony, so it is essential that you have lots of cold water and other lovely beverages available for people to sip on. Not only will this be a nice touch and help them enjoy the wedding more, it will keep them from getting restless and ensure their attention is on you and your partner on your special day.
Think about sunglasses too
Just as it can be uncomfortable sitting in the heat of the sun, the glare of the sun can be almost as bad. A nice touch we have seen on more than one occasion is for each guest to be given a pair of sunglasses! There are lots of different designs available and you can have them in a range of colours or even personalised. If it’s a day that the sun is really beating down, your guests will be glad of sunglasses to take the strain off their eyes and they can be a nice keepsake too.
Help guests to wrap up warm
Sadly, as much as us wedding planners like to ensure everything goes to plan on your big day, the one thing we cannot control is the weather. Whilst you may be lucky enough to have a dry day, sometimes there really can be a chill in the air. For that reason, we think it’s a really good idea to have some wraps and blankets on hand for guests to use if they’re a little cold. You could choose to get them personalised with your names and the date of your wedding so guests can keep them as a memory of the day. Alternatively, if you’re an animal lover, you may want to donate them to a local animal shelter and spread a bit of the happiness of your big day.
Talk to your Wedding and Events Manager
